Silk Rayon Burnout Kimono Jacket

This silk rayon burnout fabric is from Fabric.com and I'm turning it into a simple kimono jacket. French seams, the solid front band came from the fabric selvedge. I just need to put a band/hem on the sleeves to give them some weight, and hem the bottom. Might put a closure.

Fabulous, Hellenne. Thanks for the inspiration! I think you could post a paper bag and I'd be inspired 'cause you'd do something beautiful with it!

Thanks Martha. You all start posting pics of things you've made! I think we all want to see them. Anyone?

Maryse, there is no pattern. But if you need one, you can use the Folkwear patterns, especially the Field clothing or Hippari Jacket minus the diagonal panel in the front.
